Bloom with Happiness

Here is a card in bright Summer colors to light up those long and dark winter nights. I used brand new Sparkle N Sprinkle Rustic Flower - Snapdragons 816 stamp set.

On the focal image I did some paper piecing. First I covered piece of white cardstock with
Large Nuvo Glue Pen. While it was drying I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to another piece of white cardstock. I colored flowers with Promarkers and added some Margarita Velvet Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to some leaves.  Then I returned back to the first piece of cardstock. On top of the sticky glue (Nuvo Glue Pen dries sticky) I added Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Crystal Drops. After excess flakes was rubbed away, I stamped the can part of the image with JetBlack StazOn ink on top. This was fussy cut out and glued to the colored image.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder. For the background I used white cardstock which was inked with Dandelion Memento and Spun Sugar Distress inks.

I used dies from Creative Expressions Trellis Edger set to add some interest to the background. Inked background is popped up with foam tape. Layer underneath is covered with 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Crystal Drops. I made a glittered ribbon with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Daisy Velvet Glitter.  Here is a tutorial how to make this kind of pretty ribbons.
To finish off the lattice I added some White
Nuvo Crystal Drops to middle of each cross point.

To the edges of the matting layers I added
1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Margarita Velvet Glitter.  Some Green Apple Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added to the card.

This is it - my bright summer card.

I had lots of fun playing with Digi version of Build-A-Flower set. Then I saw this stamp set, I knew I want to have it as digi. I love to play with them and I enjoy entire process...until I have to explain what and how I did... This is most difficult. My language skills are not up to it. But I do my best...

I re-sized images and arranged them in the way as I wanted the end result will be. I printed it out and fussy cut it. Then I traced the outline two times to a white cardstock. After fussy cutting them out I scored one of them about 2 cm on top and covered it above the score line with glue. Two shapes was adhered together to form a card base. Then I turned back to computer, scattered all the images plus extra copy of the pot and printed them.

Coloring is very simple. I inked the flowers with Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Scattered Straw, leaves with Mowed Lawnand and Twisted Citron, and a pot with Vintage Photo and Tea Dye Distress Inks. Flower centers are covered with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Canary Flocking. I also added some Starfire Glitter with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the petals. Flowers are not fully adheared. Some of them are glued only from the center to the piece I printed out first, others are adhered with foam tape.

Flower pot is adhered with narrow strips of foam tape. I placed the tape in three edges. This way it acts like a pocket. Upper part of the pot is cut out seperately and it's adhered from three edges with a glue and foam tape in the bottom center.
To fit the layer with flowers inside of the pocket, I trimmed the pot part smaller (remebmer it was the first piece I printed. I actually cut it before I adhered flowers on top of it).

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and it's heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder.

Same card can be done with rubber set too (it comes with larger and smaller flowers) but you have to make the flower pot yourself.
This card is quite simple to make. I love the hidden pocket and removable flowers.

The next stop on our blog hop is Chris.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.

Faith in Wings

Today I want to share a card made with my favorite stamp From Sparkle N Sprinkle November Reveal - Winter Blue Jay 809. I can only admire photos of this bird - sadly we don't have them in Estonia.  I actually didn't even knew that such birds exist...

Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used Promarkers for coloring. To his feathers I added small strokes with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and covered the glue with Denim  Microfine Glitter. Leaves on the branch are 'colored' with same glue pen. After glue was dried to tacky I added Sunkissed Copper  Nuvo Gilding Flakes on top.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder.

Flower is made with Creative Expressions Delicate Daisies Open Petals die set. I added some color with Salty Ocean Distress ink. In center of flower is a glitter dot made with Dazzling Blue Nuvo Glitter Drops. I didn't add Glitter Drop directly to flower center. I made a big drop to the Tear-ific Tape backing and let it set. After it was dry I placed it to the flower. I love this color.

Leaves are cut with Creative Expressions Faux Quilled Leaves die out of Sticker Paper. They are covered with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes.

Edges of the image layer are inked with Salty Ocean Distress ink. Then I took Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen and added glue all around the edges. After glue was dry I adhered Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes on top.
I love to make glittered matting layers. I placed 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to all around the matting layer edges, adhered image layer on center and covered rest of the tape with Denim Microfine Glitter.  To finish off my card I added some small dots of White Nuvo Crystal Drops and Dazzling Blue Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Dear Santa

Sparkle N Sprinkle revealed new stamp set named Stella - Dear Santa 804. This one is hilarious. I played with digi version of it. I copied the image twice. One was made larger and other smaller. From larger image I erased Stella, and from smaller image I erased scroll and one bauble.

All coloring was done with Promarkers. I added Dimensional Glue to Stella's hair and covered the glue with Elephant Gray Flocking. To her cuffs I added Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Bridal glitter.With same glue I added Aztec Gold glitter to her buckle. Her glasses are covered with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

To the baubles I added Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Aztec Gold glitter. The scroll fussy cut with scissors and is adhered with foam tape.

To add a snow effect I sprinkled some Super Thick White Embossing Powder to the image layer and heat embossed from underneath the cardstock.

I also used Broken China and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks to ink the edges of the image layer. To add some accents I adhered 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the strips of cardstock and placed them sides of the main panel. Two strips was covered with Gypsy Red Glitter, one with Aztec Gold Glitter. Narrow green strip was colored with green marker.

Materials used:

Festive Lantern

I had lots of fun making a Christmas card with new Sparkle N Sprinkle Festive Lantern Stamp set #808 and Nuvo Gilding Flakes.

 Lantern Festive Lantern set is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. I colored it with Promarkers. To the metal part of the lantern I added glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen. After glue was dry I covered it with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes.  I also added some shading with Gold and Copper Gel pens. After die cutting it with Oval die I covered glass part of the lantern with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. Edge of the Oval is covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Gypsy Red glitter.

Flowers are from same Festive Lantern stamp set. I stamped them six times with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. They are colored with Promarkers and fussy cut with scissors. I added some glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to flower centers. After glue was dry I covered them with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. Middle flowers are popped up with foam tape.

To make a background I just took an old pattern paper, added glue with Large Nuvo Glue Pen to the Crackle Background stamp and stamped it to the paper. I cleaned the stamp right away and let the glue dry on the paper. Then I took Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes again and placed it on top of the stamped pattern.

Matting layer and die cut label shape behind the oval are covered with Large Nuvo Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. It is important to let the glue dry before adding gilding flakes. Nuvo glue is drying tacky, so it's perfect for gilding flakes.  Some White Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added in to corner of my card.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Festive Lantern 808, Crackle Background 609;
Glitters: Gypsy Red (GM2005);
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black);
Dies: Spellbinders (Classic Ovals Large, Labels Eighteen);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers, Golden and Bronze Gel Pen;
Adhesives: Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen, Large Nuvo Glue Pen, Foam Tape;
Cardstock: White, Pattern Paper (Docraft - At Christmas Time);
Embellishments: Nuvo Gilding Flakes (Sunkissed Copper), Nuvo Crystal Drops (Morning Dew, White);

Let it Snow

In the beginning of the week I shared a card I made with new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set Christmas Tags #2 Stamp Set 806. Here is a card with second stamp on the set.

I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I colored it with Promarkers and fussy cut the circle. With Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen I added some Sparkling Snow Glitter to the snow on the image. Then I stamped same image again but this time with Versamark ink. I added Dragon Fruit Embossing Powder on top and heat setted with heat tool. This was die cutted with Spellbinders Circle die. Layer underneath is die cutted with Spellbinders Star Circles die out of Sticker Paper. It is covered with Sparkling Snow Glitter.

Blue pattern paper was die cutted with  frame die from Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One set. I draw a line matching to the curves of the edge with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and added Sparkling Snow Glitter on top. Snowflakes are die cutted out of Sticker Paper with Joy! Crafts Ice Crystal Border die. I covered it with Sparkling Snow Glitter. I also added a Pink Champagne  Nuvo Glitter Drops in center of snowflakes.

This sparkling strip underneath the main image is a piece of 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape adhered straight to pattern paper. I covered it with Sparkling Snow Glitter and added lines of  Pink Champagne  Nuvo Glitter Drops in top and bottom of the sparkled up tape.

Edges of the matting layer are covered with Large Nuvo Glue Pen. Usually I use Versamark ink  but I just wanted to try  this out. Glue was covered with Dragon Fruit Embossing Powder and heat set. I added some more Pink Champagne  Nuvo Glitter Drops all around the card and that was it.

And now... A bit about my project.
I have a big problem with throwing away beautiful packages. I just can't do it. So, then my large tip Nuvo Glue Pen arrived, I knew, I have to do something with it's cardboard piece. Here it is - a winter tag.

I used a stamp from Christmas Tags #2 Set. It's stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. It is cut out with Spellbinders Circle die. Some coloring is done  with light blue Promarker and edge of the circle is inked with Broken China Distress Ink. To the big snowflake I added Small Nuvo Glue Pen and Princess Elsa Frozen glitter from Frozen glitter set. I also added Dazzling Blue dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Behind the stamped circle I added lots of die cut pieces: Queen Anne's Lace by Signature Dies (die cutted out of white cardstock, some coloring added with pink Promarker), Elegant Scrollwork by Memorybox (die cutted out of white cardstock, inked with Versamark ink, heat embossed with Silver Detail EP), Snowflake Border (6002/2021) by Joy! Crafts (die cutted out of  Sticker Paper, covered with Princess Elsa Frozen glitter from Frozen glitter set), Trellis Circle by Tonic Studio (die cutted out of  Sticker Paper, covered with Ballerina Microfine Glitter) and Twilight Snowflakes by Memorybox (die cutted out of Sticker Paper, covered with Princess Elsa Frozen glitter from Frozen glitter set and Reflection Microfine Glitter).

I also added some same elements to bottom left corner.

First thing I did with the tag was I added some color to it. I spritzed the background with Caribbean Blue Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. For my surprise, after it was dry, it didn't smudge. Then I cut few small holes to Drywall Tape and adhered it to the tag to act like a mask. Then I added  White Dreaweaver Embossing Paste on top, removed the tape and covered paste with Silver Detail EP. After paste was dry, I used heat tool to melt the powder.

Here is photo of the packaging. I love the silver foiling on the edges and this lovely flourish. How can you throw away something so pretty... By the way. You don't need to by the Large Nuvo Glue Pen to get it. It also comes with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen.

Here is final look to my tag. To finish up my tag, I added some dots with different Nuvo Crystal Drops (Gloss White, Dazzling Blue, Sherbert Shimmer). And pink ribbon was tied on top.

The next stop on our blog hop is Chris. Enjoy!
