Winter Friends

Hi! Here is one sparkled up Christmas card I made with Sparkle N Sprinkle new Stamps set Eskimo Kisses #788. This set is also available in digital form.

I stamped these two cute fellows with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Promarkers. Then I used Spellbinders Labels One die as a template and traced the shape with pencil around the image. This was cut with scissors. I also used a Sakura Glue Pen to draw the frame around the edges and covered it with Cloud Nine glitter. It appears light blue because the edges was inked before with Broken China Distress Ink.Layers behind it are die cut with Spellbinders dies From Decorative Labels One and Lacey Circles Large sets out of Sticker Paper. One is covered with Cobalt Glaze and other with Collegiate Garnet  glitters.

I also added some sparkle to the background paper with Sakura Glue Pen. I traced the lines of the doily on the paper and added Cloud Nine glitter on top.

To make the flower I covered piece of paper with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and die cutted out the poinsettia and holly leaves with Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia and Holly Sprays dies. Flowers are covered with Gypsy Red and leaves with Lator Gator glitters. In center of poinsettia is added a White 'pearl' with Nuvo Crystal Drops.Same thing is used to make the berries on the leaves. I just covered the 'pearl', while it was still wet, with Gypsy Red glitter.

 I love, love, love to use glittered paper as matting layer. For that I adhered a 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the cardstock and cover the tape with suitable glitter. This time I used Cobalt Glaze.

There is still time to participate in this month Sparkle N Sprinkle challenge. You can win some lovely digis of your choice.

Flower Cart

Hi! Today I want to share a simple Thank You card I made with a Sparkle N Sprinkle new Flower Cart #798 Digital Stamp Set.

I printed out the image twice and colored one of them entirely with Promarkers. On second copy I colored only umbrella. To make the matting layer I covered piece of cardstock with
2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and used largest die from Spellbinders Labels Sixty-Six to die cut it out. I adhered fuzzy cut image to the center and covered rest of the tape with Ocean glitter.

I used Sakura Glue Pen to adhere the Bubble Gum glitter to the bow and ruffles. Umbrella is popped up with pieces of Clear Foam Roll. Clear dimensional tape is perfect for small places.

Sentiment is also from the same digital set. I added some color to it with markers and cut the flag shape. I draw a lines around the edges with Sakura Glue Pen and Ocean glitter.

Background pattern paper is covered partially with
Versamark ink. I added Sparkle embossing powder on top and melted with a heat tool. Butterfly on the paper was 'colored' with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with Sunny Daze glitter.

Two little butterflies are die cut out of
Sticker Paper with Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Dimensional Butterflies set. They are covered with Sunny Daze glitter. It's a very nice semi-transparent glitter. I love to make little butterflies with it. This glitter won't be show as deep on the white paper. To make my butterflies brighter I added heavy coat of yellow color to the back of the Sticker Paper with marker. Color seeps through to front and after paper was dry I added the glitter to the sticky front.
Edges of the matting layer was covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Ocean glitter.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Flower Cart #798 Digital Stam Set;
Glitters: Bubble Gum (G1088), Ocean (G1126), Sunny Daze (G138);
Embossing Powders: Sparkle (EP107);
Inks: Versamark;
Dies: Spellbinders (Labels Sixty-Six), Cheery Lynn Designs (Mini Dimensional Butterflies);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;
Adhesives: Sakura Glue Pen, 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape (SAT11), 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape (SAT01), Sticker Paper, Clear Foam Roll;
Cardstock: White, Pattern Paper (Prima - Jodie Lee Butterflies);

On my card I used digital set of the Pool Friends. I sized the image to fit my card panel and printed it out. It was colored with Promarkers. I also inked the background with Broken China and Scattered Straw Distress Inks. I added Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to their classes. I also added Ocean glitter to the water with Sakura Glue Pen.

Rubber Duck is also from same digital set. After coloring the image I covered it with layer of Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

 I adhered the duck with foam tape to a strip of cardstock and made a pull tab. If you pull the tab, the duck will 'swimm' away to reveal the sentiment.

To make the window and the tab I used Spellbinders Back To Basic Tags set. Both sides of the window are cut with a die and everything in the middle was cut off with a paper trimmer. I also added Ocean glitter to around the window with Sakura Glue Pen.

Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Ocean and Margarita glitters. Love those colors together. To embellish the card I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple and White color.

Watercolor cattail

One last quick post on this month. I wish I could say that I was creative and made up this design on my self but sadly not. I saw a video in Benny Black Inc YouTube channel and just had to copy the idea. Sparkle N Sprinkle revealed perfect silhouette stamp sets for that: Wetlands 1 and Wetlands 2.

Images are stamped with Versamark ink to a watercolor cardstock and they are heat embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. For coloring I used different Distress Inks: Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean. To make the inks inside of the 'window' to shimmer I spritzed a Perfect Pearl Mist to the craft mat and used it instead of the water. That gave a nice sheen to the distress ink colors. After all inks was dried I covered the 'window' with piece of scrap paper and stamped the leaves with Tea Dye ink to the background.

For the matting layer I took a white cardstock and colored the edges with black marker. Then I adhered 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape all around the edges and placed the colored layer in center. Rest of the tape was covered with  Black Suede glitter.
To add a little more brightness to my card I used Die-Versions Loopy Lace Die to die cut a border out of Sticker Paper. Sticker paper was covered with Ocean glitter.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Wetlands 2 #791, Wetlands 1 #790;
Embossing Powders: Black Detail (EP171);
Glitters: Ocean (G1126), Black Suede (GM2009);
Inks: Distress Ink (Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean), Memento (Desert Sand), Versamark;
Dies: Die-Versions (Loopy Lace);
Adhesives: Sticker Paper (99558), 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape (SAT01);
Cardstock: Watercolor CS, White;
Others: Perfect Pearl Mists (Perfect Pearl);

Wetlands

I was very excited then Sparkle N Sprinkle revealed those two stamp sets: Wetlands 1 #790, Wetlands 2 #791. They are amazing! I used both of them to make this simple card.

Stamping is done with StazOn Black Jet ink. After the scene was created I took bunch of Distress Inks and started to add colors. For the sky I used Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean. Actually water is also colored with same inks but main color was Salty Ocean while for the sky it was Seedless Preserves.

I didn't want to add any embellishment on this card. I just stamped the sentiment with Versamark in and heat embossed it with Gold Detail embossing powder. Matting layer is also inked with Versamark in and heat embossed with same powder to match the sentiment.

Those same stamp sets are also available as digital sets: Wetland 1 Digi and Wetland 2 Digi.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Wetlands 1 #790, Wetlands 2 #791;
Embossing Powders: Gold Detail (EP168);
Inks: StazOn (Jet Black), Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean), Versamark;
Cardstock: White;

Thank you fo the visit!

After printing it out I inked it with Broken China Distress Ink. I also added Versamark ink to the edges, sprinkled Sparkle Embossing Powder on top and heat embossed.

Behind the image layer I die cutted Holly Sprays with Creative Expressions dies. I keptthem white and just added Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops on top.

Matting layers are covered with Teal Velveteen glitter. To embellish the card I added some pearls and piece of lace.
