Let Faith Light The Way

Hi! Today I want to share a card made with Sparkle N Sprinkle Calla Lillies 888 Rubber Stamp Set.

Materials used:
StampsCalla Lillies #888;
GlittersSterling [GM2035], Copper Jewel [G1059], Shaved Ice [SH101];
Embossing PowdersPebbled Copper [EP303], Silver Detail [EP257] (colored over with Brown marker);
InksVersafine Onyx Black, Versamark [VM001];
Dies: Creative Expressions (Trellis Edger), Nellie Snellen (Photo Frames);
Coloring Medium: AquaFlow Watercolors - Spring Meadow (Fresh Green) [893N], Autumn Woodland (Spiced Ginger, Evergreen Fern) [890N], Nuvo Glitter Markers Northern Lights [171N] (Green), Distress Ink (Salty Ocean);
Adhesives3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT05], 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT01], Ornament Glue [541], Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen [203N];
Cardstock: White, Watercolor CS, Vellum, Craft Perfect Mirror Card Satin Effect Burnished Rose [9488E];
EmbellishmentsNuvo Glitter Dops Honey Gold [762N], Round Embossed Sequins [Q6-001];
Others: Brick Embossing Folder;

The image is stamped to watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Because the watercolor cardstock is slightly textured, I used Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707E] for stamping. This allowed stamping the image twice to get a perfect impression. The coloring is done with different water base mediums: AquaFlow Watercolors - Spring Meadow and Autumn Woodland sets (I used Fresh Green, Spiced Ginger and Evergreen Fern), Nuvo Glitter Markers Northern Lights set (Green) and Distress Ink (Salty Ocean). I covered the center of the flowers with Nuvo Glitter Dops Honey Gold
With my very old Nellie Snellen dies (Photo Frames), I die-cut three frames and adhered them on top of each other. An inner side of the frame was covered with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Copper Jewel Glitter. After sentiment has adhered to the place, I glued the frame on top of all.

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink on to the Vellum. I heat embossed it with  Silver Detail Embossing Powder. After placing the Vellum on top of the colored image, it didn't stand up as much as I would love. I wasn't sure, what color it should be. To test it out, Took the Brown Promarker and colored over the embossed sentiment. I loved the different color variations on it, so I decided to use it on my card.

Background of the card looks difficult but it actually it is very simple to make. I dry embossed piece of Satin Effect Burnished Rose Craft Perfect Mirror Card with Brick Embossing Folder. Then I took a Versamark ink pad and added it to the raised parts. Then I covered it with Pebbled Copper Embossing Poder and heat embossed it with the heat tool.
To add more texture and sparkle, I added Ornament Glue with the paint brush to the slightly larger area then my focal image was. The glue was covered with Shaved Ice Glitter. Ornament Glue will dry clear and is very liquid. Thanks to this, it is very easy to apply it to the textured surface.

For the decorative strip, I adhered 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the thick white cardstock. I die cut it with Creative Expressions (Trellis Edger) die. It cut only the protective layer of the tape. I peeled off some parts of the layer, covered it with Copper Jewel Glitter. Then I took off all the little squares and covered the revealed tape with Sterling Microfine Glitter.

Again, I had to make a glittered matting layer behind the background. I adhered the 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the matting layer. After placing the background to the center, I covered rest of the tape with Sterling Microfine Glitter.
Few Round Embossed Sequins was added to the card as an embellishment.

Tip Toe Through The Tulips

Hi! Yesterday, I showed you a Christmas card. But Today, it's time something for the Spring. I used Beautiful Sparkle N Sprinkle Tulip Square 894 Rubber and Digital Stamps.

Materials used:
StampsTulip Square #894 and Digi894;
Glitters: Raspberry Soda [G1052], Gypsy Red [GM2005], Denim [GM2033];
Embossing Powders: Blue Ribbon [EP279];
InksVersamark [VM001], Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick) Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black);
Dies: PoppyStamps (Grassland Border), Spellbinders (Radiant Rectangles);
Coloring Medium: AquaFlow Watercolors - Spring Meadow (Fresh Green) [893N], Autumn Woodland (Evergreen Fern) [890N], ;
Cardstock: White, Watercolor CS, Vellum;

I used Digital version of the stamp set to make the background. I tilted pre-colored image and placed several copies of it next to each other. After printing it out, I adhered 1/8" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to cover all the caps between little squares and covered the tape with Raspberry Soda Glitter. Denim Glitter has adhered to the swirls and tiny dots with Sakura Glue Pen

For the sentiment, used the rubber stamp. It is stamped with Versamark ink to the Vellum and it is heat embossed with Blue Ribbon Embossing Powder. I cut it out with Spellbinders (Radiant Rectangles) die.

Those tulips are also pre-colored digital stamps. I just added some sparkle to them with Sakura Glue Pen and Raspberry Soda Glitter. Ladybugs are covered with Nuvo Jewel Drops (Strawberry Coulis).
I made a grass border for the tulips to grow in. It is cut with PoppyStamps (Grassland Border) die. It is colored with AquaFlow Watercolors (Fresh Green from Spring Meadow set and Evergreen Fern from Autumn Woodland set.

I also printed three colored Ladybugs from the digital set. I added Dimensional Glue to their wings and covered the glue with Gypsy Red. After letting them dry a bit, I covered rest of their bodies with Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ebony Black). Same Crystal Drops was used to make the dots to their wings. After letting them dry overnight, I fussy cut the Ladybugs with scissors and adhered to the card. Their antennas are drawn with black marker.

 And as on most of my cards, I made another glitter matting layer behind the background. For that, I adhered the 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the matting layer, placed the background to the center and covered rest of the tape with Denim Microfine Glitter.

Christmas Baubles

Hi! Christmas card is probably the last thing you want to see right now, then Spring is slowly starting to show its face. But I'm going to share it anyway. Sparkle N Sprinkle Christmas Baubles Stamp Set is just too beautiful. I used both, rubber and digital sets, on my card.

Materials used:
StampsChristmas Baubles #891 and Digi891;
GlittersGecko [GM2045], Shamrock [GM2041], Cloud Nine [GM2000], Reflection [GM20007];
Embossing PowdersClear [EP120], Vanilla Ice [EP265], Blueberry [EP240];
InksVersamark [VM001], Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black), Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke);
AdhesivesSakura Glue Pen [Quicky], Dimensional Glue [539], 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT01];
Cardstock: White, Pattern Paper;
Others: Adhesive Backed Snowflakes [SQAF15];

I love Sparkle N Sprinkle Digital Stamp Sets because they come with pre-colored images. On the Christmas Baubles Digi set you have several colored pictures to choose from. I picked three baubles and foliage and re-sized them to match my needs. After printing and fussy cutting them with scissors, I covered the baubles with Versamark ink and Clear Embossing Powder. Boubles get nice shiny finish after the powder was melted with the heat tool.
I printed two copies of the same foliage. One was fuzzy cut without pine branches. I wanted to add some sparkle to the foliage as well. I drew tiny lines with Sakura Glue Pen to them and added Gecko Microfine Glitter to the Holly Leaves and Shamrock Microfine Glitter to the Pine. Berries ware covered with Dimensional Glue and Cloud Nine Microfine Glitter.

The sentiment is from Christmas Baubles Rubber Stamp Set. It is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Blueberry Embossing Powder.

The background is made out of scrap pieces of pattern papers. I distressed the edges of each paper with scissors and Hickory Smoke Distress ink. Both blue papers were ripped in two. After assembling the background, I sprinkled a bit of Vanilla Ice Embossing Powder here and there and heated it with the heat tool from underneath the paper.
I love glittered matting layers behind the background. For that, I adhered the 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the matting layer. After placing the background to the center, I covered rest of the tape with Reflection Microfine Glitter.

To add more interest to my card, I used three Adhesive Backed Snowflakes. I covered them with Cloud Nine Microfine Glitter. Then I cut them in half and tucked them behind the pattern paper layers. I also added some Dimensional Glue to underneath some parts of the ripped paper and covered the glue with Reflection Microfine Glitter.

Kindness Is Beautiful

I love all kind of flower stamps. Digital stamps are the best if you need a quick card. Sparkle N Sprinkle digis will come not only as a line art but also in colored versions. So you can dedicate your time to the card background.

Materials used:

Glitters: Hickory [GM2044], Daisy [GM2019];
Embossing Powders: Melon Twist [EP402], Lemon Chiffon [EP315];
Inks: Nuvo Hybrid Ink Acorn Brown [213N], Versamark [VM001], Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry);
Coloring Medium: Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolors Autumn Woodland [890N] (Spiced Ginger), Nuance Watercolor Powder Hot Pink [MNU005], Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black);
Dies: Spellbinders (Labels Eighteen);
Adhesives: Large Nuvo Glue Pen [204N], 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT01], Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky];
Cardstock: White, Watercolor CS;
Embellishments: Nuvo Jewel Drops Sea Breeze [646N], Round Embossed Sequins [Q6-001];

I used one of the colored images from Bearded Iris Digital Version set. To cut it out, I placed the die from Spellbinders Labels Eighteen set on top of the image, traced the inner frame from the die with pencil and fussy cut it out. Edges of the shape were covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. Matting layer is die cut with the same Spellbinder die out of cardstock. I covered the edges with Large Nuvo Glue Pen and Hickory Microfine Glitter. To add more interest to the flower, I printed out the same flower again and fussy cut the blossom. I added some details with Sakura Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes and Daisy Microfine Glitter.

The sentiment is also from the Bearded Iris Digital set. It's printed out on the white cardstock and fussy cut with scissors. I added sparkle to it with Sakura Glue Pen and Gilding Flakes.

The most time consuming / fun thing about my card was the background. I used the Watercolor cardstock and colored it with Spiced Ginger from Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolors Autumn Woodland set and Hot Pink Nuance Watercolor Powder. After it was dry, I placed it into the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and stamped the Music Background with Acorn Brown Nuvo Hybrid Ink. Then I added Large Nuvo Glue Pen in few places directly to the stamp and pressed the impression on top of the stamped background. After the glue was dried tacky, I covered it with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes
I added Versamark ink to the two corners of the background, sprinkled Melon Twist and a bit of Lemon Chiffon Embossing Powder on top and heat embossed.

I used Round Embossed Sequins to embellish my card. Some of them are covered with Sea Breeze Nuvo Jewel Drops.

I adhered 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape across the background and placed some Round Embossed Sequins on it. Rest of the tape was covered with Daisy Microfine Glitter.
Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Hickory Microfine Glitter.

Paisley Elephant Shadow Box

I had so much fun making a card with Sparkle N Sprinkle Stamp Set named Amazing You – Paisley Elephant. It is also available as Digital set if you prefer, but I really like how this wonderful Elephant looks as heat embossed. I also used Floral Surprise Digital Papers to make my Elephant walk through the flowers.

Materials used:

Embossing Powders: Midnight Madness [EP252], Gold Detail [EP168];
Inks: Nuvo Hybrid Ink Metro Grey [211N], Versamark [VM001], Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey);

Coloring Medium: Promarkers, Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black);
Adhesives: Ornament Glue [541];
Cardstock: White, Tissue Paper;
Others: Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]

It was essential to use the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for my project. For the start, I placed the stamp on the Stamp Platform, inked it with Metro Grey Nuvo Hybrid Ink and stamped the image to the smooth white cardstock. The color of the ink doesn't matter because it will be covered later anyway, Important is that it works well with your coloring medium. I colored my Elephant with Promarkers. After it was colored, I placed the cardstock back inside of the Stamp Platform and re-stamped the image with Versamark ink. Then I heat embossed it with Midnight Madness Embossing Powder and fussy cut the Elephant with scissors.

Elephant is placed inside of the shadow box, which I made myself. I used a white cardstock and folded it to form a box. I colored some tissue paper with wet Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey) and crumbled the paper. After it was dry, I covered the box with colored tissue paper, which was adhered with Ornament Glue. This glue is nice and runny, perfect to adhere the tissue paper.
After the glue was dry, I took the Versamark ink and lightly dabbed it to the wrinkles of the tissue paper. Then I heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.
To the inside of the box, I adhere one of the papers from Floral Surprise Digital Papers set.

There are 28 beautiful papers in the Floral Surprise Digital Papers set. I printed out one paper with all kind of different flowers and fussy cut some of them. To hide the white paper peeking from the side, I took the Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black) and run it over the sides. It gives the illusion that I am very good at fussy cutting ;)
I wanted to add some sparkle to them and wanted to try something different. I placed a dot of Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Dops to the cut-out and smudged it all over the flower. Flowers have adhered with foam tape. For some, I used thinner tape. For some, I used several layers of the tape. This makes them stand on different levels.
Sentiments are stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Midnight Madness

This decorative strip is a part of the same paper which I used inside of the box, but this strip is printed out larger (that is exact reason, why I love digis. You can make them as large as needed). The lacy pattern on it is covered with Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Dops in the same way as are the flowers.
I had an accident with it. A drop of water fell to the part which wasn't covered with Glitter Drops and because I use ink printer, the ink smeared. Only thing I could do to fix it was add the water with a paintbrush to rest of it. That came out interesting. I like how the orange turned to bright yellow.
I also added some drops of Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Here is one more look at my Paisley Elephant Shadow Box. I fussy cut two little images from Floral Surprise Digital Papers and used them in the beginning/end of the sentiments.
This kind of shadow box is easy to make. Here are one earlier project and the template of it. I made a suitcase by adhering two deeper shadowboxes together. On the first page of the template, you can get the idea how to make your shadowbox. Just change the measurements to suit your needs.

Simple Pleasures

I must say, I struggle to make masculine cards. With Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set named I Love Old Trucks #890, it is easy to make cards for a male... My card would have been perfect too but somehow I wanted to color my truck pink... A good chance to make a nice masculine card was missed again by me...

Materials used:
Stamps: I Love Old Trucks #890, Right Beside You #812, Happiness Greeting #886;
Embossing Powders:
Silver Detail [EP257], Quick Silver [EP375], White Detail [EP298];
Mica Flakes: Bronze Mica [ME05];
Inks:
Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark [VM001], Nuvo Hybrid Ink Safari Green [215N];
Coloring Medium:
Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - Peony Pink [800N], Mother of Pearl [804N]; Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Hickory Smoke, Ground Espresso, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed), Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black), White Gel Pen, Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolors Spring Meadow [893N] (Fresh Green), Nuvo Glitter Markers Northern Lights [171N] (Green);
Adhesives:
3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT05];
Cardstock: Watercolor CS, Black CS, Pattern Paper;
Others: Action Wobbles 1 ½" [AWS10],
Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707E];

I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black to the Watercolor Cardstock. I wanted my truck to be pink but I didn't have any right tones. I had to mix my own color and used my Tonic Studio A3 Glass Mat as a paint pallet (Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat will do the job same way). I pressed Distress inks (Picked Raspberry, Hickory Smoke, Ground Espresso, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed) to the Glass Mat and also made some shimmering paints with Nuvo Embellishment Mousses (Peony Pink and Mother of Pearl).  I took a bit of Mousse out of the jar and placed it on the Glass Mat. Then I added water on top and diluted the Mousse until I had a nice shimmery colored waterlike paint. I want to point out that while Picked Raspberry ink is very vibrant pink, I managed to tone it down a lot with Peony Pink Mousse water and Hickory Smoke Distress ink. To color other parts of the car, I used the Mother of Pearl Mousse water and Distress Inks. Every Distress ink colors are mixed with more or less with Hickory Smoke.

I had so much fun to make the cobblestone road. I adhered the 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the white cardstock and started to place pieces of Bronze Mica one by one to the tape. I left a small cap between each Mica flake and after it was done, I covered rest of the tape with Silver Detail Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool. I made three strips of cobblestone roads like this. I love the result.

For the sign, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set to the Black Textured Cardstock and heat embossed it with White Detail Embossing Powder. After cutting the pieces and adhering the sign together, I rubbed Mother of Pearl Mousse all over it to pick up the texture.

The background is made out pattern paper. I stamped the tree on it with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with Quick Silver Embossing Powder. It is an almost clear powder with a nice silver shimmer. I used Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for the stamping. This allowed me to stamp several times to get a perfectly stamped tree.

Leaves are from Happiness Greeting stamp set. I stamped them with Safari Green Nuvo Hybrid Ink to the white cardstock. I colored them with Fresh GreenNuvo Aqua Flow Watercolors from Spring Meadow set and Green from Nuvo Glitter Markers Northern Lights set. I cut them out and adhered to the card.

I folded the bottom of the card front to form a square tube. This gave a nice dimensional base for my cobblestone road and allowed to pop up my card with a 1 ½" Action Wobble. So my car is shaking while it drives on a cobblestone road (let's ignore the fact that there is no driver in the car...)

Well, that is all from me Today.
