Cute Chick

Today I want to share with you a sparkling Spring card. Sparkle N Sprinkle revealed an adorable Easter stamp set named  Easter Chicky 820. It is also perfect for a baby cards.

I used a digital version from the same stamp set. I placed a shell and a flower to the chicky's head It's much easier with digi stamps. After printing the image I colored t with Promarkers. Egg shell is covered with Dimensional Glue. It dries clear and shiny. To flowers centers I added Daisy  Microfine Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen.
For the matting layer I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to a piece of cardstock and used a Spellbinders die (Labels Eighteen) to die cut the shape. Same die was also used as a template to cut out the image. I traced the inner edge of the die with pencil around the Chicky and cut it out with scissors. This was adhered in center of the die cut label and rest of the tape was covered with Denim Microfine Glitter.

Sentiment is also from same digital stamp set. It is cut out with MemoryBox Pastry Labels die. With Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen I drew a frame around the sentiment and covered the glitter with Denim Microfine Glitter.  Flower is covered with Purple Rain Microfine Glitter.

Most fun and time consuming was the background. I covered piece of thicker cardstock with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. Then I took MemoryBox Sylvan Corner die and run everything through the die cutting machine. Because I used thicker cardstock the die only cut the protective layer of the tape. This was what I wanted. Now I took an x-acto knife and did some more cutting. First I peeled off protective layer from all the parts I wanted to be green and covered revealed tape with Luau Green Microfine Glitter. Branches was covered with Bronze Splendor Glitter. For the butterflies I used Purple Rain and Daisy Microfine Glitters. Edge is covered with Denim and rest of the background with Cloud Nine Denim Microfine Glitter.

Couple more butterflies, covered with Daisy Microfine Glitter,  was added to the card.

Cattelya Friendship

Today I want to share a card made with new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set named Cattelya Friendship 818.

This time I only used one of the sentiment. It is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I used stitched circle die to cut it out.
Layer behind it is made with piece of cardstock covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape (SAT11). I die cut it using a Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die. After adhering the sentiment layer on top I covered rest of the tape with Cabernet (GM2034) Microfine Glitter.

Flowers are die cut with Spellbinders dies from Rose Creations set. They are cut out of white paper and inked with Fired Brick Distress ink. Small rose inside of the largest flower is die cut with Cheery Lynn Design die (Medium Rose) out of red paper. I put a glue in the middle of small rose and added Super Thick White Embossing Powder inside. This wasn't heat set with a heat gun. This way it looks like a flower stamen.
I used Sticker Paper (99558) to die cut some leaves with Creative Expressions die (Faux Quilled Leaves). They are covered with Luau Green (GM2004) Microfine Glitter. This is stunning color but it was too bright for my vintage looking card. So I took a Flexmarker (Nutmeg) and some color to the leaves. I also used a Spellbinders Foliage die to cut more leaves out of vellum.

Little butterfly is die cut with Cheery Lynn Design die (Mini Dimensional Butterflies) out of Sticker Paper (99558). It is covered with Cabernet (GM2034) Microfine Glitter.

I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops (Chocolate Fondue) to the flower centers and butterflies.

Butterfly border is die cut out of Sticker Paper (99558) with Joy!Crafts die (Butterfly Edge). It is also covered with Cabernet (GM2034) Microfine Glitter. I added a piece of lace to hide bottom part of the die cut.

For the background I used old pattern paper by Prima (Fairy Belle). It is die cut with Spellbinders die (Pierced Rectangles). Edges are inked with Tea Dye Distress ink. I sprinkled some Super Thick Gold (EP235) Embossing Powder to the paper and heat embossed from underneath. This avoids the powder to fly off.

Take a closer look at the entire Cattelya Friendship 818. It comes with three beautiful sentiments and gorgeous flower image. It is also available as digital set.

I used this lovely girl from Emily Showers of Love digital stamp set. She is printed out and colored with Promarkers. Dogwood Rose and Lavender Iris glitters was adhered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to her outfit and accessories.  Part of the umbrella is fussy cut with scissors and rest of the image is die cutted with Spellbinders Oval die. I added some color to the edges with Broken China Distress Ink. Hearts are covered with Rose Water Nuvo Jewel Drops.

Sentiment is from same stamp set but it is in rubber form. Big plus with digi stamps is that you can resize them. And best thing with rubber stamps is that you can use embossing powders with them. So on my card I used them both. Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and it is heat embossed with Rosa Embossing Powder. I used stitched rectangle die to cut it out. I wanted one end to be cut an angle, so I took a bigger rectangle and cutted the end again. Edges are inked with Broken China Distress ink.

I wanted lots of layers and texture underneath the main image. First I added a lace to the back side of the Oval image layer. Under that is a die cut shape made with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die. I covered it with Large Nuvo Glue Pen and Dogwood Rose Glitter. To add more fancy edges I placed a Spellbinders Floral Ovals die cut underneath.
Center panel of the background is dry embossed with Embossing Folder. To make the raised parts pop out better, I inked them slightly with Broken China Distress ink. I also adhered 1/8" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the top and bottom edges and covered the tape with Dogwood Rose Glitter. You don't see in on following photo, but I also placed die cut strips, made with Creative Expressions Trellis Edger die, underneath the edges.

Flowers and leaves are from my leftovers basket. Flowers are die cutted with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies. They are colored with Worn Lipstick Distress ink... I think... I'm not completely sure of it. Leaves are die cutted with Spellbinders Sprigs die. For coloring I used Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress inks.

Card base is die cutted with die from Tonic Trellis Circle set

The next stop on our blog hop is extremely talented Donna

For someone special

Merry Christmas everyone! The card I share Today is not overly Christmas looking but I think it is suitable for the occasion.

I used Build A Wreath Digital Stamp Set to make the card. It's fantastic set. You can build your own uniqe wreaths. I choce the sprig wreath and added leaves and berries. It was time consuming process. But only because I had to make it twice... Right after I finished placing all the leaves and berriest to the wreath, and I was happy with the result, I wanted to save my work but computer froze. So, I took a camera and made a photo of my computer screen. After computer was restarted, I imported the photo to computer and used it as a reference guide. At least I didn't had to re-think placement of the leaves again. But despite everything, it was fun to play with this stamp set.

Image was colored with Promarkers. To the berries I added Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. It dries clear and leaves nice dimensional shine.  wrreath and the sentiment are cut out with Silhouette machine.

Lavender Iris Glitter was adhered to the bow with Sakura Glue Pen

On the background I used wooden pattern paper. To add some interest I made score lines to it and added Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Inksdirectly to paper. I also sprinkled Super Thick Silver Embossing Powder on top and heated with a heat tool from underneath until powder melted. I also added drops of Wisteria Purple Nuvo Crystal Drops to the pattern paper.

Edged of the pattern paper was distressed with scissors. I took a white lace and colored it with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. Lace was placed to peek out underneath the pattern paper.

If you like Build A Wreath Digital stamp set but prefer rubber stamps, I recommend to keep your eyes open on New Year ;)

Happy Easter, Every Bunny!

Happy Easter, Every Bunny! No, I'm not crazy. I just had lots of fun playing with new Sparkle N Sprinkle Spring Bunny 819 Stamp Set.

Image is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Promarkers to color it. Sentiment is from same stamp set. It is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder. I cut it out by hand, folded it and inked the edges with Broken China Distress Ink.

In center of blossoms I added a dot of glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Berry Red  glitter.

To give some shine and sparkle to the eggs I covered them with Pink Champagne and Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Frame is die cut with Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles dies out of Sticker Paper. I covered the Sticker Paper with Berry Red Glitter Cabernet Velvet Glitter. They are similar by color but Velvet Glitter is much finer. I also colored the sides of the frame with matching marker. I like that this way no white isn't peeking out from the sides.

Bloom with Happiness

Here is a card in bright Summer colors to light up those long and dark winter nights. I used brand new Sparkle N Sprinkle Rustic Flower - Snapdragons 816 stamp set.

On the focal image I did some paper piecing. First I covered piece of white cardstock with
Large Nuvo Glue Pen. While it was drying I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to another piece of white cardstock. I colored flowers with Promarkers and added some Margarita Velvet Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to some leaves.  Then I returned back to the first piece of cardstock. On top of the sticky glue (Nuvo Glue Pen dries sticky) I added Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Crystal Drops. After excess flakes was rubbed away, I stamped the can part of the image with JetBlack StazOn ink on top. This was fussy cut out and glued to the colored image.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder. For the background I used white cardstock which was inked with Dandelion Memento and Spun Sugar Distress inks.

I used dies from Creative Expressions Trellis Edger set to add some interest to the background. Inked background is popped up with foam tape. Layer underneath is covered with 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Crystal Drops. I made a glittered ribbon with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Daisy Velvet Glitter.  Here is a tutorial how to make this kind of pretty ribbons.
To finish off the lattice I added some White
Nuvo Crystal Drops to middle of each cross point.

To the edges of the matting layers I added
1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Margarita Velvet Glitter.  Some Green Apple Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added to the card.

This is it - my bright summer card.

I had lots of fun playing with Digi version of Build-A-Flower set. Then I saw this stamp set, I knew I want to have it as digi. I love to play with them and I enjoy entire process...until I have to explain what and how I did... This is most difficult. My language skills are not up to it. But I do my best...

I re-sized images and arranged them in the way as I wanted the end result will be. I printed it out and fussy cut it. Then I traced the outline two times to a white cardstock. After fussy cutting them out I scored one of them about 2 cm on top and covered it above the score line with glue. Two shapes was adhered together to form a card base. Then I turned back to computer, scattered all the images plus extra copy of the pot and printed them.

Coloring is very simple. I inked the flowers with Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Scattered Straw, leaves with Mowed Lawnand and Twisted Citron, and a pot with Vintage Photo and Tea Dye Distress Inks. Flower centers are covered with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Canary Flocking. I also added some Starfire Glitter with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the petals. Flowers are not fully adheared. Some of them are glued only from the center to the piece I printed out first, others are adhered with foam tape.

Flower pot is adhered with narrow strips of foam tape. I placed the tape in three edges. This way it acts like a pocket. Upper part of the pot is cut out seperately and it's adhered from three edges with a glue and foam tape in the bottom center.
To fit the layer with flowers inside of the pocket, I trimmed the pot part smaller (remebmer it was the first piece I printed. I actually cut it before I adhered flowers on top of it).

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and it's heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder.

Same card can be done with rubber set too (it comes with larger and smaller flowers) but you have to make the flower pot yourself.
This card is quite simple to make. I love the hidden pocket and removable flowers.

The next stop on our blog hop is Chris.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
